The World Health Organization Became an Accomplice in China’s Lying and Deceiving about the Coronavirus

Date: May 10, 2020

The World Health Organization as an accomplice to China in spreading lies about the coronavirus

After initial denials and concealment, China managed to contain the COVID-19 outbreak inside China, albeit not before exporting numerous cases worldwide and putting the world in a terrible, deadly pandemic.

And Beijing succeeded from the start in steering the World Health Organization (WHO), which receives funding from China and is dependent on the regime of the Communist Party on many levels.

From the beginning, the WHO unquestioningly echoed information provided by Chinese authorities, disregarding alerts from Taiwanese doctors and hesitant to declare a “public health emergency of international concern instead uncritically echoing information from Chinese authorities.

Access to the country for WHO’s international experts was only granted after Director-General Tedros Adhanom visited President Xi Jinping at the end of January; subsequently, WHO issued a statement post-visit, expressing appreciation for China’s leadership commitment and transparency.

WHO epidemiologist Bruce Aylward, who headed the visit, said in an interview that China was not hiding anything.

And furthermore the WHO was keen to broadcast Beijing’s message.

“In the face of a previously unknown virus, China has rolled out perhaps the most ambitious, agile and aggressive disease containment effort in history,” WHO experts said in their February report on the mission to China.

The country had gained “invaluable time for the response” in an “all-of-government and all-of-society approach” that has averted or delayed hundreds of thousands of cases, protecting the global community and “creating a stronger first line of defense against international spread.”

China’s “uncompromising and rigorous use of non-pharmaceutical measures provides vital lessons for the global response, and Beijing’s strategy demonstrated that containment can be adapted and successfully operationalized in a wide range of settings”, the WHO report said.

After the World Health Organization not only bowed down to Xi Jinping in its handling of the Coronavirus but also licked his shoes, one can conclude that there is no Chinese fifth column in the World Health Organization but that the World Health Organization is China’s fifth column.
